The Danny Dunn Stories |
Many thanks to Allen G who had the entire set in nearly ready-to-use formats. A few of the covers were not in great condition or were rather small and have been sourced from various places on the Internet. They have been cleaned and fixed of cover tears, scratches and misaligned placement on scanners (cut off edges or corners being the chief result). NOTE: Author Raymond Abrashkin died in 1960 after publication of the fifth book. Williams, however, insisted on Abrashkin being given co-author credit on the subsequent ten books as well, since he had been instrumental in constructing the series. Several of the middle volumes now bear his wife's name, Evelyn Abrashkin, in the copyright. Ezra Jack Keats illustrated the first four novels in the series. Subsequent books were illustrated by Brinston Turkle (2), Owen Kampen (3), Leo Summers (1), Paul Sagsoorian (5). The not-so-secret location of their home town is revealed at the end of book 7.
